Hold on, be STRONG! – Supporting Active Ageing and Well-being
Welcome to Hold on, be STRONG!, an Erasmus+ Small-Scale Partnership project focused on improving the well-being, social inclusion, and digital skills of older adults, particularly those with a migration background.
The project brings together partners from Spain and Belgium to support seniors in leading active, healthy, and connected lives through a holistic and inclusive approach.
About the Project
Hold on, be STRONG! addresses the growing challenges faced by older adults, especially migrants and refugees, including social isolation, digital exclusion, and declining physical and mental well-being.
Through a structured programme combining digital literacy, physical activity, mental health support, and social engagement, the project empowers seniors to regain confidence, stay connected, and actively participate in their communities.
Objectives
Promote active ageing and social inclusion
Improve digital literacy and access to online services
Enhance mental and physical well-being
Reduce social isolation among older adults
Foster intergenerational learning and community engagement
Why This Project
Across Europe, the population of older adults is increasing, and many seniors—especially migrants and refugees—face loneliness, stress, and barriers to integration.
Limited digital skills make it harder to access essential services, while social isolation negatively impacts both mental and physical health.
Hold on, be STRONG! responds to these challenges by offering a holistic, community-based approach that supports seniors in adapting, connecting, and thriving in new environments.
